Protect client quality as demand grows

More inquiries are not automatically good news. If every new client reduces preparation, follow-through, or recovery time, growth may be eroding the quality that built the business.

Make capacity visible

Count the full workload, not just sessions. Include preparation, notes, email support, sales, operations, and time to think. Set a maximum active-client number and review it against real delivery experience.

Design boundaries into the offer

Publish when and how clients can reach you, typical response windows, meeting cadence, cancellation terms, and what counts as additional scope. These are not barriers to care; they make support dependable.

Use a waitlist honestly

Only call it a waitlist when capacity is genuinely limited. Explain the likely start window, whether payment is taken, how updates arrive, and how someone can leave the list. Offer a referral or resource if waiting is not appropriate.

Review client experience and founder capacity together each month. If quality indicators are slipping, slow enrollment before adding new marketing. Sustainable demand is demand the business can responsibly serve.
